You could try getting a second hand one, it'll be a bit cheaper
although they're still overpriced. I got a 1200 motherboard for 20
UKP through AmiBench. A4000 stuff might be harder to get I suppose.

I think thats something to do with the EDO ram being 32 bit and PPC
processors being 64 bit. Can't remember, but you needed 2 of them in
Pentium PC's as well.
